Around this time last year, we published our very first videocard modding article. The victim in that adventure was the Hercules 3D Prophet 4500. That card is based on the budget Kyro2 chipset for occasional gamers. If you read over that article again, you'll see that the card didn't perform too bad in our benchmarks. But still, at that time the performance of nVidia GeForce2 MX cards and a better marketing policy from nVidia resulted in the fact that the Kyro2-based 3D Prophet 4500 wasn't able to compete with the more popular nVidia products ...
