4D Rulers and Slam Software have joined forces to bring you the AMP II Game Design System. We are now offering introductory pricing on the AMP2 game design system.
The Amp II Game Design System is co-developed by Slam Software and 4D Rulers. We used its successor, Amp to develop our first person shooter Gore. Amp includes a rendering engine, the Wire Multiplayer Net Engine, editing package, and game code support library, all designed for use under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Note: The only video accellerators cards the demo supports right now is Nvidia GeForce 3 and GeForce 4 ti. GeForce mx and ATI are not supported in this initial release. We will support those cards in the next release.

I tried it out. Pretty cool. It has comparisons to Doom III in the area of real time shadows and ligthing... although I'm not sure if it's in the same context technology wise.

The good thing: It runs pretty darn good. It has nice textures, but I dunno if the overall architecture can compare with D3... prolly not.

For instance in this room... just like in D3, but here everything roons smooth. However, there are no enemies anywhere, so that could be part of the reason... no AI CPU cycles. :dunno

Still, it's fun looking at the "busted light fixture" presentation in these kinda games especially when it runs at a good framerate. :D
