HomeLAN - How did you get to be a game news web site operator?
Stephen Heaslip - Like a lot of folks, I tried my hand at creating a web-site or two when the WWW first rose to prominence in 1994-95. As a DOOM fan, it was natural to start focusing on that game and the upcoming release of Quake. Somewhere along the way, Quake websites became the scene, much the way USENET was for DOOM. The site became more news-oriented as some prominent predecessors went away (Quake Will Rule the Cosmos, Mr. Wolf's, Aftershock), and really started showing up on people's radar thanks to some kind support from folks like Redwood and Mr. Wolf.
