Activision has revealed that first-person shooter Call of Duty will be showcased at this year's QuakeCon event in Dallas, Texas, August 14-17.
So not only will the attending public witness and experience the debut of Doom 3 deathmatch multiplayer, but they'll also get at sneak peak at Infinity Ward's promising World War II-themed title - the lucky blighters.
Call of Duty is being built on Quake III technology, albeit it radically altered to allow for the recreation of the intensity and chaos of World War II squad combat, hence its appearance at QuakeCon.
It took some effort, but we've manage to persuade one of the team to fly out to QuakeCon in Dallas, Texas - boy was he upset - to cover the event, so we'll be bringing you full details straight from the floor.
