When you’re not hacking up bad guys and turning them into kibble you’ll be spending a good chunk of time experiencing some of the game’s new gameplay features. The first BloodRayne really didn’t feature much variety other than fighting and trying to get from point A to point B. BloodRayne 2 still features a hefty dose of this formula, but also mixes things up with some neat pseudo-platforming action. BloodRayne can now slide down rails, climb up pipes, and use conveniently placed bars to swing from. While rail sliding you can attack any nearby enemies by holding down the attack button, which results in an explosive fountain of blood being left in your wake. The swinging bars and climbing pipes help add a bit more depth to each level and really gives them a three dimensional feel. With levels that take place on multiple levels, you’ll find yourself challenged to figure out where to go next.
