I might have to pick it up (demo). I'm working on a plan to upgrade my system and finally finish Far Cry since I stopped in the middle because my computer took a dump and then I just never got around to it. It was a good game from what I played.

So yer pc is broken right now, won't play any game, or do you mean it was running really slow?

This demo is pretty good, the second mission was fun riding the horse. You can drive the horse off the cliff and piss of peta members. :>E

It runs Far Cry Slow. It's a 3200+ with only a 9700 Pro video. I normally only upgrade 1 thing at a time, but since I need a better video card, but am not going to waste money on a AGP card, it means it's time to upgrade at least motherboard, CPU and mem. I'm hoping I have enough for a video card too. Money is a little slim with some of the CTEN stuff though, but I'm hoping to work something out.

There's still life left in a ton of AGP cards. In a few reviews I've seen that test the AGP version of a chip against the PCI-e, AGP actually performed exactly the same. I believe it was a(n?) nVidia . . . something in the 7 series . . . I'll look it up if you want.

Then again I'm never buying AGP again so I can't talk, but meh

Well, those comparisons were probably the same card just as the AGP version vs the PCIe version. The main problem is that I have the fastest chip in my motherboard it will take so I don't want to fork over 300 bucks for an old video card that is AGP when it will be that much harder to sell. A PCIe good video card will completely outbeat my old ATI 9700 easy. This card is I think 2 or 3 years old if I remember correctly.
